The Godfather of Clocks
See, it's like this. It was a cold and rainy night in da Bronx. And there's this truck parked in an alley way. As a young man, even the pre-Don knew that there was business gonna take place soon. He stood in the shadows down the way. The truck was unloaded and men shook hands. But as the truck drove away around the corner, he heard loud series of crashes.
The men had been drinking and forgot to fasten the doors all the way on the truck. And when they rounded the turn and hit the gas, the doors flew open and out flew two half pallets of boxes. They scattered about. But at 3am, the young man was the only one there. He looked into a torn open box and he sees a beautiful mantel clock. He decides to take it to give to his mama at home. He runs to his car around the corner, but gets another thought. These clocks have got to be worth a fortune, even just the 50 or so that he left on the street. So, he went back and packed his car tight, getting all the clocks into his car.
He got home and organized the clocks by style and model. He had mantel clocks, table clocks, gallery clocks, traditional wall clocks, pendulum clocks, and even a couple of outdoor and atomic clocks. He was an instant entrepreneur. He sold 'em all and when he was down to his last dozen, he decided to open a store. But not just any store. With his "seed" money, he could start the finest web site for clocks anywhere. He did. And he added Grandfather and Floor Clocks while expanding his stock with the finest clocks from the world's finest clock makers. And then it was on to men's dress watches, women's dress watches, adverture & sports watches including Navigator watches, marine watches and dive watches, too.
